Class Description
This class is for Encaustic painters with previous experience in a beginner class. We will make our own
medium and learn to pigment it.
Students will learn how to mix damar resin and beeswax to make Encaustic medium. Then we will mix it
with oils and powdered pigments to make our own vibrant colours.
Previous introductory class is required. All equipment and supplies will be provided except an N95
respirator mask or better. You must bring a mask to class.
Class time
10 – 4pm
Students will leave with 4 pounds of medium.
